This year our JH band is planning on great things! In the fall we will be performing at pep rally's and our annual Christmas concert. We will also have the opportunity to attend the last home football game with the HS band and add some of our students to the HS band for the football playoffs. As these dates get closer we'll send home information about what the plan is. In the spring we will be preparing for at least one, possibly two concert festivals as well as our end of year Spring Concert! Please contact us if you have any questions.

Main Objectives for the year:
Understand and execute music theory concepts.
Improve sound quality and performance skills.
Understand and notate a note-rest pyramid.
Notate, count, clap and analyze rhythms.
Identify the names of lines and spaces as well as the order of #'s and b's.
Improve sight reading skills as an individual player and as an ensemble.
Name and perform all one octave scales.
