The mission of the Pioneers Youth Leadership Organization is to develop today's student leaders and tomorrow's community leaders. Mason ISD was one of the charter schools when Pioneers began in 2012. We have remained a part of Pioneers choosing to create more leaders in our school through the Pioneers program. Our students have had much success and learned many great values and lessons through their Pioneers training, camps and lessons.

The 2016-17 Pioneers students recently participated in the annual Pioneers State Leadership Forum at the State Capitol in Austin. They had the opportunity to meet Pioneers Students from many other schools and to develop plans to help our state in many critical areas such as with water conservation, mental health care issues, immigration and technology in education. The students presented their ideas and plans to leaders of several state agencies including the Texas Water Board. It was a great two days and the students learned so much and made many new friends.
