I'm Stephanie Pierce, and I'm thrilled to be teaching English III AP, English III, and Professional Communications at Mason High School for the 2018-2019 school year! This is my fourth year teaching in Mason. I have eight years of teaching experience overall.
I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with an M.A. in Teaching in 2010. In May of 2015, I completed the school counselor certification program at Angelo State University. I also hold an M.S. in Information Studies from UT-Austin and an Honors B.A. in History from UT-Arlington. Prior to becoming a public school teacher, I worked as an archivist for several years. It took a little while, but I eventually discovered my true calling in life is to be an educator. I simply love my job!
I have been married for six years to my wonderful husband, John. One of the many traits John and I have in common is our choice of career. He teaches English I and Dual Credit English at MHS. Go Punchers!
John and I have one son, James, who recently turned two. We love being parents to this sweet, stubborn, and rambunctious toddler!
In addition to spending time with my family and teaching, my passions include reading, cooking, hiking and traveling.
