Garanimals boys and girls it is People's Choice Award time so we are all dressed up to share with you what your assignment for these next two weeks is going to be first of all we're going to be picking your favorite fictional character from any book that you've read so far and you're going to decide on a character trait remember that's on the inside something that they did or that you felt it I succeeded and imma give you some examples I have to do that Mrs Watson will give you an address of how you're going to write your speech it's just like an Academy Award at People Choice Award and then you'll make a tropaeum show you some examples of trophies okay I'm going to step out look at her pretty face here's a trophy for no more worries this is Abby woo and she was in remember what books she was in shape quit worrying by the end and they felt that that was a great character trait for her so there's her awards has simple that is hold up one second here Fearless hero award very simple made from things that you find at home K one more example listen Horan from books about what is it Guardians of Ga'Hoole and so this person read this book and loves Kim and he was quite the hero saved his sister save a lots of people okay so you're going to be thinking about a character from a book we read it or you read it your parents read it to you you read it in the library find a character that you love decide on something that makes that character special and write them a speech to give their away that makes sense. Someone okay alright so in your pocket that you're receiving this Friday I am going to be sending home some pre-reading activities and graphic organizers to help you ride this remember it is a speech it is not a full-blown five paragraph essay some of the pieces will look the same but when you read this out loud it should really only be one to two minutes long after you've chosen your character and you know what a word you're doing you're going to write your speech will have a quick introduction to tell the name of the award and the person or the character that's receiving it you might stop turn it to about that character baby with books they came friends and you're going to give examples of why they deserve this award now once you completed those dates you have your reward May and you have your speech written for asking that you get somebody at your house to take a picture of your award and send it to either Taylor or myself you can text it to us or email it to us now your actual speech issue right you're going to turn that back in and you cheat with your package I think it's March 15th is going to be the next exchange days but if you want to receive extra credit you can get somebody at your house to get their cell phone or an iPad or any kind of device that will record and record you reading your speech getting your award and then say not to Miss Watson or Miss Taylor and Bergen and take all your videos and your pictures of your award and put them together to make a special memory since we're not going to be able to do People's Choice Awards at school like we normally wood stove cannot wait to see your submissions and it's going to be fantastic and remember dress up if you record your speech we dressed up today because we knew we couldn't do it on the real De Soto dress up and send those in if you have any questions at all while you're working on this let us know remember only use things at home there's no shopping involved you can find things laying around and you keep them together how to make a great trophy okay so let us know if you need us
