GENERAL TEST INFORMATION

Mason ISD students in grades 3-12 are subject to government-mandated testing. The best source of public information regarding testing is the Texas Education Agency (TEA) website, which provides links to all aspects of testing policies and procedures. Visit the Student Assessment webpage for information regarding the STAAR and TELPAS tests. Click here to access a document containing Frequently Asked Questions about the STAAR Assessment.

TESTING CALENDAR INFORMATION

The Texas Education Agency establishes the testing calendar each year. To view TEA’s calendar regarding scheduled test days, click on the following link: http://www.tea.state.tx.us/student.assessment/calendars/

Where TEA has established a test window, the district or campus may specify the local test date. View the Mason ISD Calendar for testing dates on your child’s campus.

STUDENT SCORES
The Texas Education Agency publishes STAAR Report Cards for all students every year. To improve communication and transparency with educators and families, TEA has redesigned the Confidential Student Report (CSR). The goal of the redesigned CSR is to create a family-friendly report on student progress, specifically highlighting growth and improvement as much as proficiency. To view your child’s STAAR Report Card, go to www.texasassessment.com.
