MHS Delegates Attend State FFA Convention

Eleven Mason FFA Chapter members attended the 91st Annual Texas FFA Convention held this summer at the Ft. Worth Convention Center. Those attending represented Mason as voting delegates during eight general sessions held throughout the week. Approximately 10,000 FFA members, parents, teachers, and guests attend the annual event. Selah Farmer participated in the Texas FFA Rodeo and finished thirteenth in the state in barrels. Congrats to her!

New Elementary/Jr. High Principal Announced

The MISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that the Mason ISD Board of Trustees met last night and approved the employment of Ryan Holbrook as the Mason EL/JH Principal for the 2019-2020 school year.

Mr. Holbrook comes to us from Comal ISD where he has served as an Assistant Principal at Arlon Seay Elementary for the past six years. His teaching experiences include seven years as a 6th-8th grade Science teacher and one year as a 5th grade Science teacher with Comal ISD.

Lone Finalist

On behalf of Mason ISD Board of Trustees, I would like to announce that Stan Whittle has been named the Lone Finalist as Superintendent of Mason ISD. After the 21 day period and Mr. Whittle accepting the offer, he will be named Superintendent of Schools for Mason ISD at the July 22, 2019 board meeting.

Gas Bid Proposal

The MASON ISD is accepting bid proposals for Liquefied Petroleum Gas. Sealed bid proposals will be received until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2019. Bid specifications can be obtained from Mason ISD Administration office at 200 Fort McKavitt, or by calling 324-347-1144.

Mini Cheer Camp Registration

The MHS cheerleaders are hosting their annual youth cheer camp for 4-year-olds through 8th graders. If you attend camp, you will be permitted to cheer on the sidelines during the third quarter of the Homecoming game. Register by Monday, July 29th to ensure you receive a shirt in the size you prefer.

Please pass the flyer along to anyone that might be interested.

Forms can be picked up or dropped off at the offices at the schools or the administration building on the square. Each office closes during the summer for a week so if one office is closed try another.
