Pam Kruse became a Mason ISD Board Trustee May of 2024. She is a graduate of Aubrey High School in Aubrey, Texas, Angelo State University in San Angelo and received her Masters of Education from Texas Tech University. She is a retired MISD teacher and administrator. Pam is married to Randy Kruse, a Mason native and together they own and run several businesses and do some ranching on the side. They have two children and four grandchildren all living in Mason. Her term will expire in May 2027.

Jim Bob Smith

Jim Bob Smith was elected to the Mason ISD Board of Trustees in May 2017. He graduated from Mason High School in 1995, and attended Western Texas Junior College, majoring in Criminal Justice. He married Shayne McGuire, of Llano, in 1998 and they have two daughters. Steeley is attending Texas Tech in the fall. Sterling is in the 8th grade at Mason Junior High. Jim Bob is the Assistant Manager of the Mason Feed Store and has been for the past 14 years. Shayne, is a real estate broker. His term will expire in May 2026.

Kathryn Martin

At Large Member Kathryn Martin was elected to the Mason ISD Board of Trustees in May 2017. Kathryn currently serves as the Vice-President. She is a graduate of Mason High School and East Texas State University. She is a retired public-school teacher and is the owner of a computer services business in Mason. Kathryn is married to Seth Martin, a Mason County rancher. Her term will expire in May 2026.

Diamantina (Tina) Cantu Navarro

Diamantina (Tina) Cantu Navarro was elected to the MISD School Board in May of 2006. She currently serves as the board secretary. Tina is a graduate of Mason High School and has been employed by Script Shoppe Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for 22 years. Tina is married to Gilbert Navarro, together they have three children: Tiffany Cantu, Robert Navarro and Felicia Navarro. Tina is currently serving her fifth term on the Mason ISD School Board. Her term will expire in May of 2027.

Joe D. Langehennig

Joe D. Langehennig became a Mason ISD Board Trustee in May of 2021. He is a 1997 graduate from Mason High School and a 2001 graduate of Texas Tech University. Joe and his wife Jeri have been married 18 years and have two children; Kalen and Olivia. He is employed by Ecolab and Jeri is relationship manager for Capital Farm Credit. His term will expire in May of 2027.

Eric D. Buell

Eric Buell became a Mason ISD Board Trustee in May 2022. He is a 1996 graduate of Boerne High School. Eric is the owner of Hookin B Taxidermy and Wild Game Processing here in Mason. He is married to Kelsey Buell. They have two children; Slade & Harlow Buell. His term will expire May 2028.

Liz Rich
Single Member District #5
Liz Rich is a passionate advocate for education and community development. With 12 years of experience as an elementary school teacher, Liz dedicated over a decade to shaping young minds and supporting students and families. Currently working as a mortgage broker, she continues to serve her community by helping individuals and families navigate the path to homeownership. In May 2025, Liz will bring her unique blend of educational insight and financial expertise to a new role as a member of the Mason ISD Board. Her commitment to student success, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement makes her a valuable asset to the district's leadership. Liz married Justin Rich in 2009 and has a son, Jet, and a daughter, Cailey, in Mason ISD. Her term will expire in May 2028.
