Welcome to the Mason ISD Technology Department.

My name is Shanda Schmidt, and I am proud to serve as the Technology Director for Mason ISD. In a 2A district like ours, technology is not always about being the biggest or flashiest—it’s about being reliable, purposeful, and student-centered.

Our goal is to support teaching and learning by providing secure, efficient, and accessible technology for students, staff, and families. From classroom devices and network infrastructure to digital safety and communication tools, we work behind the scenes to ensure technology enhances learning rather than distracts from it.

We believe technology should empower our teachers, prepare our students for the future, and strengthen the connection between school and home—while still honoring the close-knit community that makes Mason special.
