We just received word from ASU that dual credit courses will no longer be free. Tuition is $50/credit hour. A three credit hour course is $150 and a four credit hour course is $200. Use the chart below to calculate the total cost of tuition for each course you plan to take.
Students can pay their balance in full or sign up for an installment plan, which does include a $30 non-refundable installment fee. Students must pay for their course online, which means you will have to have a credit card or a debit card.
Students who are considered to be economically disadvantaged will qualify for a scholarship and will be able to take one course per semester for free. (Make sure to fill out the free or reduced lunch forms at the beginning of next school year. Students are also eligible for SAT and ACT test fee waivers and college application fee waivers with potential savings of hundreds of dollars per year.)
We wanted to make sure you had this information as soon as we found out about it, so you can plan ahead for the extra cost that will come with dual credit courses next year. Even though it is no longer free, our dual credit program is still an exceptional bargain when you consider that a year of tuition and fees at ASU is $9,310 and the total cost of attendance for one year is $23,890.
