  • Testing experience means you will know what to expect on the real thing!
  • Scholarships are available to juniors who have high scores on the PSAT through the National Merit Scholars Program.

Go to HOBY this summer!

The Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Camp is one of the oldest and most prominent youth leadership organizations in the nation. We can only send two students to this camp, so we have created a selection process. This is a great opportunity for personal growth, and it looks great on your resume. You will develop leadership and organizational skills, and you'll meet people from all over!

Are you volunteering for your school and your community?

There are many opportunities available to you from Habitat to Humanity to Old Yeller Days to After the Bell to the Community Thrift Store.

Come visit with Mrs. Canfield if you need more ideas!
Click on the "Helpful Downloads" link on the left for forms you can use to keep track of your hours. You will be glad you took the time to do this when you are a senior and your resume is due! There is also a chart you can use to help you keep track of your extra-curricular involvement!
Take the PLAN test!
October 22, 2008

This is the pre-ACT test, and it will allow you to find out where your strenths and weaknesses are when it comes to the ACT test. This test also has a career component utilizing the World of Work Map. This will help you get started on your career exploration path if you have not started already.

It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the format and contents of the test. Click here for more information.

The PLAN is free, and there is no need to sign up. All sophomores at MHS will take the test.
